- Applicants who are currently employed by the government, autonomous bodies, corporations, or any other organization are required to submit their applications through the appropriate channels. While advance copies are acceptable, the NOC must be presented in person during the interview.
- The maximum age restriction shall be loosened to the following extent: five years, with the exception of personnel serving in the armed forces.
- Ex-servicemen for a maximum of 15 years, or the length of time they served in the armed forces, whichever is shorter.
