NMR Facility Manager Jobs in UK 2024 – Visa Sponsorship

To ensure the smooth operation of the NMR Facility at the School of Chemistry, we are seeking a highly skilled and driven Facility Manager. The facility is furnished with a range of NMR devices, including liquid and solid-state spectrometers operating at 300–800 MHz, and it supports a broad range of research activities within the School. The chosen applicant will have familiarity with the most recent NMR experiments, a solid grasp of NMR gear, and a track record in NMR spectroscopy. In addition, they will oversee the facility’s financial viability through careful management of charging, pricing, procurement, and commercial operations.

To train researchers in the use of NMR instruments, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation, the Facility Manager will collaborate closely with the NMR instrument technician. By closely collaborating with the Academic lead, supporting successful funding bids, participating in joint research projects (academic or industrial), and offering technical guidance to School members at all levels, the selected applicant will play a significant part in the strategic growth of the facility.
