The Southampton Dermatology Centre at the Royal South Hampshire Hospital has an exceptional opportunity for a full-time Band 3 Senior Health Care Assistant. The Southampton Dermatology Centre is open from 8 a.m. to 18 p.m. Monday through Friday, with some discretionary after-hours and weekend work scheduled. In addition to assisting clinicians in our day-case surgical rooms, you will assist in the management of the various consultant- and nurse-led clinics located in the Dermatology and Medical outpatient departments.

Job Duties:

UVL treatment, photo testing, Botox, patches, a two-week skin cancer pathway, and vulval clinics are among the services and clinics offered by the Dermatology Department. Nurses oversee many of our clinics, including acne, topical remedies, UV light therapy, allergy patch testing, mole mapping, and wound clinics.

The successful candidate will be responsible for chaperoning patients and assisting in certain clinics. Additionally, you will supervise the admission and recovery areas, conduct observations, and furnish maintenance information upon the arrival of day-case surgery patients. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to provide support to the dermatology surgeons in the operating rooms.

Be responsible for the efficient operation of a variety of daily clinics, including the acceptance of phone calls from patients and relatives, the provision of care and guidance to patients and relatives, and the facilitation of high-quality, personalized care. Additionally, we oversee a limited number of medical outpatient clinics, such as those for TB, diabetes, and gastro, and you will assist clinicians with venesection and observations to guarantee the smooth operation of these clinics.
