The incumbents will work in conjunction with proficient craftsmen to deliver mechanical and plumbing maintenance services on a campus that has experienced continuous investment in both newly constructed and renovated structures, utilizing expansive workshops and a wide array of equipment.
The campus in the picturesque countryside close to the Shropshire market town of Newport will serve as the location of the position. The University estate comprises approximately 30,000 square meters of non-residential structures and 800 bedrooms in student halls (17,700 square meters). It encompasses 143 hectares. A variety of contemporary teaching and research facilities, some magnificent historic structures, student amenities and recreational facilities, and state-of-the-art engineering facilities will contribute to the diversity of the work environment.
Although situated within a 15-minute journey from Telford, 30 minutes from Shrewsbury or Stafford, and 40 minutes from Stoke on Trent or Wolverhampton, the campus is encompassed by the university’s 600-hectare farm.
