The Team:

The BLIS team operates from locations in the community hospitals of Ilfracombe and South Molton, as well as remotely. We provide services to an extensive region that includes rural settlements, towns, and villages in North Devon.

Our team works in close collaboration with NHS teams, other social care teams, district councils, and housing and equipment providers. We are a team of social care assessors, social workers, and occupational therapists who are both ardent and supportive. The team administers assessments in person at the individual’s residence and digitally, utilizing a variety of technologies.

You will be a part of a team that is experienced, supportive, and cordial. The team is dedicated to learning and development, and they provide regular peer support, supervision, appraisal, and team meetings. Additionally, they provide access to regular CPD workshops. Traveling through the picturesque North Devon countryside will provide you with the chance to observe and provide assistance to the individuals with whom we collaborate.

About the Role:

The purpose of the ASYE is to guarantee that all newly qualified social workers receive effective, consistent, and dedicated support during their initial year of practice, thereby enabling them to confidently pursue a career in social work.
