The renowned High-Performance Computing and Data Analytics Center of the University of Edinburgh, EPCC, is seeking to augment its workforce by hiring software engineers and data scientists. The primary objective is to provide data science services that leverage DevOps and machine learning methodologies. EPCC has overseen the complex infrastructure that provides support for the Scottish National Safe Haven, an environment that ensures the confidentiality of sensitive data used in public-benefit research, since 2015. Our team played a crucial role in the processing of COVID-19 research throughout the United Kingdom during the epidemic.
Expanding our Safe Haven Services in conjunction with the Edinburgh International Data Facility (EIDF) at our Advanced Computing Facility is a continuation of our past achievements.
EIDF is anticipated to facilitate the establishment of novel “trusted research environments” and enhance the capabilities of Safe Haven by incorporating storage services on a multi-petabyte scale, next-generation GPU clusters, and enormous memory systems.
